The BCCSC is one of the only 200-yard ranges in the area shooting CMP-style matches.

CMP-style shoots are posted periodically and allow the new shooter to experience CMP shooting. Shooters are allowed to use equipment that is not typically permitted by CMP-sanctioned matches (scopes, modern bolt actions, red dot, etc).

CMP Rimfire Sporter

The CMP Rimfire Sporter Rifle Matches offer shooters a recreation-oriented competition where they use .22 caliber sporter rifles (plinking and small game rifles) commonly owned by almost all gun enthusiasts. This is a unique match where all you need is a rifle and ammo.

Firing is done at 50 and 25 yards on a target with a 1.78-inch ten-ring and an 18-inch outer one-ring. Even new shooters can get hits on this target, but it is still tough enough that no one yet has fired a perfect 600-600 score.
